Climbing Wall
The Climbing Wall offers a challenging and unique experience for patrons to try a new avenue toward health and wellness - it is 42-feet high and located in the Cardio and Strength Training Room. There are five top ropes and two lead climbing ropes available. Each rope has multiple routes available at different difficulty levels. Staff members are available for belaying climbers or, climbers may register for the belay clinics to become certified to belay at the Climbing Wall. The Climbing Wall is open on weekends and evenings.
Two Climbing Wall Instructors are available to assist climbers during open wall hours. Every Climbing Wall Instructor is extensively trained and certified in Climbing Wall operations and risk management.
The Climbing Wall is equipped with harnesses, helmets, ropes, carabiners, and belay devices. Every piece of climbing equipment is certified to hold at least 5,000 pounds.
The Climbing Wall is located on the east wall of the Cardio and Strength Training Room. It is 42-feet tall and 20-feet wide. There is a 10-foot radius of a rubber floor around the entire Climbing Wall.
