Employee Attendance Policy
- Lateness – Community Center employees are expected to be at work and on time. Every work tardy is documented by supervisors and submitted to Human Resources. After three tardies, employees will receive a verbal reminder; after four tardies, employees will receive a written reminder; after five tardies, employees may be suspended or docked pay.
- Sick, Bereavement, and Personal Days – Each full time employee is given fourteen paid personal days that they can use however they prefer. After an employee has used all fourteen personal days in one year, they will not receive pay for any days missed. Personal days can roll over and accumulate from year to year. For part time employees, it is the employee’s responsibility to communicate to their supervisor if they need to miss because of an illness, bereavement, or personal reasons. This should be communicated before the shift begins.
- Vacation Days – Each full time employee is given fourteen paid vacation days. These vacation days can roll over and accumulate from year to year. For part time employees, they can receive one vacation/personal day after every 90 days of work.
- Maternity and Fraternity Leave – Three months of paid maternity and fraternity leave is available to employees with newborns. It is up to the employee when they would like to initiate their maternity or fraternity leave. New mothers may opt for a six-month maternity leave, which would consist of three months paid and three months unpaid leave.
- No Call/No Show – Any employee who does not show up to work without contacting their supervisor three work days in a row will have their employment terminated.
